1940 Rover 14, 6 Cylinder, 6 light. Black over blue. Taxed and tested until June 2010.

3 new tyres, rear brakes relined and new half shaft oil seals for MOT. Other two tyres are as new. Rear bumpers rechromed, refurbished passlamp, re-silvered headlamp reflectors and dip/main beam quartz halogen bulbs just fitted. Wiring modified from original spec to operate dip/main beam from pass lamp switch (there was no main beam originally fitted to these cars when new). Indicators have also been fitted to operate in conjunction with the trafficators. The front seat squabs have been recovered in the recent past, the rest of the leather on the seats is a bit dry and tired but will probably respond well to treatment. The carpets have also been replaced recently and are in good condition. The car is fitted with a stainless steel exhaust.

The wiring loom could do with being replaced. I can obtain a new loom for a discounted price of £185 + vat for the buyer if they wish. A spare / repairable radiator shell, a couple of spare window surrounds and a pair of rear bumpers (one broken but repairable) will come with the car plus some minor parts including the grille badge.  There are bits and pieces of paintwork that need doing if you are a perfectionist but the car is perfectly useable as is.  When I got the car out to take these pictures it drew a crowd of admirers.  There is an operating “sliding head” sunroof fitted which did not leak when I was out in a torrential downpour recently but is not correct for the car, I have the parts specific to this car needed to make the correct panel, all that is required to go with them is a wooden frame and cover it with cloth and I have the instructions for doing that as well.

All in all a good useable classic which will benefit from some further upgrading but is perfectly useable as is.  It comes with a history file including the original instruction book and pictures and other documentary evidence of work carried out in the past.
